She was born on 5th January 1986 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

Prakash Padukone, who is a former badminton player, is her father and her mother, Ujjala, is a travel agent. She has a little sister. Her name is Anisha and she is a golfer.

She was a student in Sophia High School and after that Mount Carmel College. Although she started her graduation but dropped out due to modelling.

Growing up, she did not have many friends as she was socially awkward.

She was passionate about Badminton when she was in school and participated in National Level Championships. She was also a state-level baseball player.

She started modelling in 2004 and she was just 17 years old when she ramp walked at Lakme Fashion Week and made an appearance on the ramp for the first time.

But after her first hit, her other movies like ‘Bachna Ae Haseeno’, ‘Chandni Chowk to China’, ‘Kartik Calling Kartik’ didn’t do so well.
